El Jimador | “El Matador”
This spot for tequila brand, El Jimador, featured legendary footballer Luis Hernández telling his story in his own words. The story moves through his humble beginnings with dusty kick-arounds with his brother, dreaming of being a guitar-shredding rockstar, to the worldwide fame as an athlete. The music also tells that story, with the sound of traditional folk music from Veracruz, his birthplace, to latin-flavoured rock as he hits his stride. Custom sound design transports the audience into Luis's journey, and makes the action jump off the screen.
